Woke up this morning & could not believe the colour of the sky, thought we had been transported to Mars & it made me think of the movie War of the Worlds.
Huge dust storm has hit the East Coast between Woolongong down south up to Newcastle (where I am). The sunrise made it go this colour, now just a weird yellow/orange.
But dust on everything, not unusual in the outback, but an outside jaunt makes breathing a real issue.
Not my photo, (to early in the morning for me to think of it) but this will give you the idea.

 

Wow, that looks cool. Like one of those end of the world as we know it movies. Blade Runner or something.

 

Was hoping one of you aussies were going to post about this. Heard about it in the news and it looked crazy. Anyone take first hand pics to share?

Looks like Kuwait and Iraq to me. I don't miss those sand storms.

 

Looks great from the other side of the world though. That could be a desktop background if it was higher res.

Yep definatly reminds me of Iraq. Blood red morning and yellow days. followed with dull red night skies. Man i really don't miss that climate.

Had all the windows & doors closed, bike under a cover & in the garage & still covered in red dust, probably have to do the computer fans & blow out the internals.
