RE: CBR's v/s the world
Excellent timing for this post personally! last night i blew a 11.2 1/4 mile at wednesday night warriors. It was my first drag ever- stoked.
I have a mate that works at the local honda shop , I can tell you all that the cop bikes here in oz have nothing at all on my 06 600rr stock! nothing at all. trust me , we found out hehehe!!!!! Mind you if they were riding 600's we'd all be in a bit of strife! i also know that im not far off the pace of the 03 1000 cbr with power commander . well up untill
200k\ph any way.

Here we do a lot of 2nd gear roll ons. That way a hole shot doesn't determine what your bike can or cannot do. From a 2nd gear roll on, I can walk away from the 06 Zx-10. We are talking about a bike that is suspose to have 166 hp at the rear wheel. My bike is suspose to have far less hp, so for me to roll away on the 06 10, didn't impress me at all about Kaws.

They do have that much power. It is amazing how much rider weight plays a factor in a bike. My GSX-R 1k cant run with my neighbors 03 R1 below 4000. It takes til about 6500 before I actually start to pull on him. I have him by maybe 15lbs. My brother, same way with his 01 GSX-R 1K. Same bike as mine, but he will get away from a low RPM roll on and as RPM climbs, they even out and it's straight up til when ever. He also is around 15lbs less. We also do all 2nd gear rolls. We do 1st once in a while just for fun, but to find out where the bear ****s, it's always 2nd or 6th.

on the CBR, I'd get my backside handed to me on top speed after I went UP one tooth on the front sprocket. 520 conversion, stock exhaust, jetting, soon to have suspension set up for me, pilot powers on it, pretty much my dream bike.
in the corners, I'm pretty confident I could hang with better riders. not beat them, but I feel I can keep up with them. if I were to push myself beyond my own limits, I probably could beat a skilled rider, but being an intermediate rider, I'm expanding myself slowly so as to keep myself and bike alive and in one fully functional piece.
