the point of the vector thread is that the file(s) you can download by clicking on the image(s) is already developed in a VECTOR format. not a RASTER format (like every other image you see on the web.) ever notice how blowing up a web image makes it pixelated and blurry? doesn't happen with a vector format.
anyone who is going to cut a decal will need a VECTOR format to cut it -- even if you are giving them a printed-out image, trust me, they are just going to scan it and convert it with some software, a process which will cause the image to lose some fidelity, to varying degrees based on the software and the quality and detail of the original image.
having a pre-formatted file in hand cuts out the middle step: you've already got what a vinyl cutter needs to do its job. from there you find someone who cuts vinyl: i don't have the equipment right now to do it myself, and i don't know any active forum members who claim to have the ability at this point in time, but i'm sure there's a setup in your town that does it. FastSigns, i've seen some FedEx Kinko's that do it, and i'm positive that Eddie over at RRdecals would be tickled pink to do it if you just email him a file and tell him the size and color.

Ok, slightly techy question here Regen; I kind of understand the difference between a vector and a raster file. So if I wanted to modify one of the .eps files (perhaps to replace the woodpecker(?) with a kiwi should I be using Illustrator?
