I am really into the whole Supermoto idea, but the seat height on some of those bikes (Suzuki 400sm, Kawasaki KLX250, etc.)really kills it for me. I'm thinking of getting the new Honda 230L and buying a set of rims with street tires (also doing performance mods).

Yesterday I went riding with my buddies and a kid I know rolls up on his brand new (2 miles on odo) 2008 Yamaha 250 Supermoto bike. That thing was sooo sick I just wanted to push him over and steal it. Too bad its not a honda, and too bad it costs $6000.
