I've been reading a handfull of forums and these guys seem to have a decent reputation. They're who I'm going through. There are a handfull of others but I'm lazy and the prices here seem most reasonable...

Not sure if you have picked the bike out yet. But make sure it is street legal to begin with. My CRF250R cannot ever be street legal.Says it on the registration. Now a CRF250X can be. It may be different in other states. Just something to look out for.

Woo hoooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

I've put about 4 hours on it already , and I'm in love. Gawd I can't wait for my kit to get here...

Here are some pics - 2002 Honda XR400R for a grand total of $2000!

Hehe, this thing wheelies like nobody's business and it just seems to want to stay there. I've never felt so confident doing them, lol. I took it for a ride on the parkway and had to turn off... into the trails. How badass is that? Haha, anyway, I'm happy, feeling good and waiting for parts now.

CBRCRF, yeah it's streetable. Not legal as of yet but I wont tell if you won't. My insurance agent wasn't even going to insure it. He said, "we don't insure dirtbikes." I told him what I was doing and showed him the title... $98 a year. Full coverage - said he had to create a policy because their system doesn't have it in there, lol. The insurance card says EX450R, which I'm not sure even exists but the VIN numbers match so I couldn't care less.

Anyway, thanks for reading - I'll be updating with some pics in here since I have no forum of my own on here

So, your still keeping the F3 thou right?

That bike looks sweet! I have an XT225 and the only reason that I'd ever get rid of it would be to replace it with an XR400 street legal. Here in Wisconsin, they don't let us convert dirt to road so they're beyond rare. Well, have fun!

Lovin it, but are those "Kits" really worth that much? Seems like your paying way too much for rims, brakes and a chain & sproket set

Yes and no. The one I'm getting, I think so. The others for like $1500+just have fancier wheels.

Mine also comes with caliper relocator, larger front rotor, larger rear rotor, SS front brake lines and a set of Pirelli's ([:'(]) - I'm gonna see if I can trade them to someone for some Pilots cuase I just don't dig the Pirellis.

I figure this way, I spend $500 on this kit and I'll find out if I even like supermoto (I'm thinking yes, but to be honest, who knows!). If I find out I don't really dig it, I'll only have $2500 in the thing and maybe I'll just keep it for dirt... ?

I dunno - just ready to try something else, I guess. Yeah, that F3 isn't going anywhere - I've just re-realized how much fun those things are. I think I was getting an elitist attitude with my big bike, lol. I never wanted to ride the F3 which I guess is natural though.

Thanks guys!!!

Well I got all my shipping numbers today so we should see some serious changes by next weekend.

My little list includes...

Supermoto conversion kit
Stage 2 cam
Trail Tech Vapor instrument cluster w/tach, speedo, temp, trip, odo.etc.
Supermoto front fender - Honda red (for a 450R)
KTM supermoto rear fender with tail/brake and turn signals (orange)

I got everything new except for the KTM stuff, but he assures me it's next to mint.

I also got some gear yesterday. I ended up really digging this one helmet on display, but they didn't have another so I got the display model, which was a perfect fit, for $20 cheaper! Got some gloves and goggles too but nothing special.

Anyway, I'll get some pics up as soon as I can, thanks for lookin'!
