I've got a small arsenal to choose from for home defense, but in the end I chose my Yuogslavian M70 AB2 AK-47 with underfolding stock. I keep it under the bed with a full 30 rd. mag (un-chambered...) and a spare full 30 rd. mag next to it. You guys can tell me that if it goes through wall yadda yadda... but I aim, and I feel more comfortable with it than my shotgun. I have actally used it before, and didn't need to squeeze one off, thankfully. My 12 guage is bulky and hard to swing around corners, and I think the AK is a little more intimidating than the shotgun.
I thought about using my AR-15, but half the people I show it to think its some awesome airsoft gun, so It kinda loses the intimidation factor (which is like 80% of the reason for having it)

an AK?
that will go thru the person, thru the wall and thru neighbors apartment haha
my step dad used to have an SKS and we had to sell it because he didnt want to hit the neighbors if he ever shot it and we live in a HOUSE and im sure the AK is just as, if not more, powerful than an SKS

SKS and AK's both use the 7.62 (.308). Anyways just find something your comfortable with, could be a .22, as long as your a point shot.

My neighbor heard I was in the market, and he was just about to put up his old revolver for sale, so he sold it to me for $100 with a box of ammo... on top of all that he said he would buy it back from me whenever I wanted to upgrade to something else for exactly what I paid for it. It is a .32 H&R revolver he has had for 20 years lol. Probably not the best gun in the world, but he's taking me to the gun range on Sunday, if I don't like it he said he'd buy it right back.

as long as its reliable and shoots well, thats all you are really gonna need for home defense...that and a bit of practice. i have several guns, couldnt use any of them if i couldnt shoot for ****e or if i didnt keep up with them and clean them every once and a while

I just got back from the shooting range and I liked glock 22 .40cal a lot more then remington that I shot. Bird shot, 00buck, slug, made a lot of noise and did what it was supposed to do, but was too bulky. I'd recomend glock, very easy to shoot and not too expensive. Oh and always keep your eye on the front sight, never on the target or rear sight.

I don't know anything about guns. I've never even held a real one. However, if a deal is what you're looking for, then check this out. Glock 22s... I guess this is what the FBI uses. You can be cool like them.
