Buying a bike in Canada

Every state is different. For example, FL requires a Bill-of-Sale for out of state bikes, but nothing notarized or anything and in-state sales require just a signature. NC requires everything in state to be notarized where as out-of-state sales require the info that's needed in the state it comes from... but nothing else.
You should be able to call the DMV in your area and someone there should be able to tell you exactly what you need to know. That way you won't be stuck with having to deal with a guy in Canada trying to get things notarized or getting Bill-of-Sales signed.

Usually people in the US don't buy from Canada, too expensive. Maybe with out weak dollar right not its worth it. Bikes seem overpriced here for the most part, though... Looking at buying in BC? Here's everything you need to know. Importing from Canada » ezbordercrossing.com
