they want you to get sick from being worm in your car, getting out in the cold.

they want to pay you for the doctors and your sick days.

thats what it sounds like.
they like you so much, they are giving you a signal to take their money.

Go stand at the door and get everyones name that wears a coat to work, report them.

Go stand in the gym and write down everyones name that is working out, report them too.

Maybe they'll get a sense of how ridiculous it is then....

I think they're trying to see if they can **** me off enough to quit. Shame they don't realize that stuff like that makes me dig in my heels and fight harder.

Checked the Employee Handbook and it doesn't say anything about dress code upon entry into the building. Also doesn't say anything about me having to use a Sick / Vacation day when I called out. I opted not to get paid for the day (even used the "Unpaid Leave" payroll code that's in the system for that day) and they're insisting I have to use a vacation or sick day.

I think I may have to force the issue here. Take it to HR regional management levels and outside sources.

Really sounds like someone has it in for you. I've got to believe your immediate supervisor is on your side. You might talk to him (or her) about it.

The same kind of thing happened to me years ago. I don't even remember the complaint now, but the boss politely told me to stop doing what ever it was in front of the complaining employee (the smug expression on his face gave him away). Later she took me aside and said what I was doing was no problem, but to follow company policy she had to say something.

Same for you? Probably.

What? Your work made you quit riding? Are you serious?

+1 - sounds like a paycheck to me.

hell I'm about to petition for some dedicated MC spots in the parking lot. Damn Harley rider that comes in an hour before me keeps grabbing the spot I was parking in.
