Default Borrow your bike?

Last night, one of my co-workers was gearing up to go home. He has a 2009 GSX-R600 (he's already lowsided twice ). Another co-worker comes up and askes if he can give it a run. Mind you in 3 years nobody has ever seen this guy on a bike, its night and he has no gear

Would you let him take your bike for a quick spin?

To let you know, the gixxer owner did let him take the bike around the block. The guy did return the bike unscathed, tho he was complaining about the cold (took off wearing just a work shirt)...

And the whole time I stood there asking my co-worker "What? You trying to get a new bike without the pain of totalling it yourself???"

in your particular situation i would have to decline his request.

my friend and i both ride and we frequently switch up whose machine we ride. however we are both comfortable with eachothers riding style/ability and have agreed that in the event of something happening it would be repaired or replaced in a timely manner. but thats something between us. he is the only other person who has even placed cheeks on my seat muchless ride it.

Well a bit more seriously, I understand where you're coming from. But I could never ask that of my best friend. Nor would he ask to switch with me.

I know how much he loves his bike and vice versa. We both trust each other completely. But I couldn't be responsible for hurting his bike. I'd trust myself in a dealership on a test ride. But not on his bike.

Depends on. How well I know the person. I have let my friends ride my bike under under 1 strict rule. You break it you pay to fix it. If I knew this why well then yeah but if not then no chance in hell

MY friend has ridden many dirtbikes before. He wanted to try my bike out so i said okay why not. I warned him its a bit heavier than a dirtbike and he said alright man. He sat on the bike, put the stand up and leaned over to look at something who knows and the bike fell over snapping my brake lever. I helped him pick it up and happily said since you did that before you were moving i wont charge you for the new brake lever. haha He did treat me to a nice sixer later that day though

Nah. My co-worker is pretty cool. Despite the 2 lowsides (and the first was during his second ride so really shouldn't count), he's definitely one of the better riders in our office.

We don't and won't see eye to eye on some riding topics. Espcially his club's vest, which I think looks more in place on a Harley rider than a sports biker
