Stampede Kills Man, Pregnant Woman Miscarries in Valley Stream Walmart A 34-year-old worker was stomped to death after hundreds of people piled into an opening Long Island Walmart Friday morning for Black Friday deals. A Walmart worker was trampled to death in a Long Island Walmart on the morning of Black Friday - and a pregnant woman suffered a miscarriage after hundreds of deal-seeking people rushed the doors of the retail store. The pregnant woman was found knocked over before being transferred to a local hospital. According to a news report, paramedics said the woman suffered a miscarriage. The worker, who was killed after trying to slow down the unruly and rushing crowd of shoppers, was also found on the ground. A co-worker tells the NY Daily News: "He was bum-rushed by 200 people." "They took the doors off the hinges. He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down too...I literally had to fight people off my back." |

I work at Walmart. It was a madhouse this morning. This chick ran up to me with the $97 gps with scratches all over her face said she had to fight for it. At 5 am when the sale started and it went from dead quiet to sounding like a football stadium crowd.

It doesnt shock me, me and the wife went out last year and we live in a smaller town(couldnt imagine the lines in a big town) and when we got inside walmart my wife got ran over by a cart, people were constantly pushing people and we even got hit in the head with boxes...after about 5 mins of being in the store I was pissed, my wife was pissed, we got the TV we wanted and went home. Its not worth it, people are idiots.....I would rather pay full retail price then to do that **** again.

the ones open 24 hours didnt have this problem but enough blame is here to go around for everyone:
- people acting like animals to save a few bucks - commercialism at its worst - big corp not anticipating and managing crowd control well but the only good part of the story was left out; the 12 coworkers that risked their own lives trying to help Other workers were trampled as they tried to rescue the man, and customers stepped over him and became irate when officials said the store was closing because of the death, police and witnesses said. |

Three people got arrested in the Wally World we were in. They were punching each other and fighting over the 50" Samsung TV. and the TV ended up breaking from getting knocked off the other persons cart. I cat about 5 seconds on my phone, haha. They had cops walking around all he stores here.

I was at Walmart.. i enjoy black friday shopping cause i think it is funny. i was talking to people that drove over an hour and a half to come to our walmart.. ours has been the number 1 grossing walmart 2 of the last 6 years. i grabbed my 42 inch tv payed for it took it to the car, covered it up with stuff, and went back in just to walk around. people are just completly retarded. if they have to act like idiots to save a lil money they should get a part time job.

When the government decides to increase the fuel price for a mere 10 or 15 cents each time when the crude oil went up, I'll be seeing lines of vehicles queuing up at the petrol station for miles before the night of the price increment; turning the whole town chaotic. Peoples can be plain stupid sometimes... can't they do a simple calculation? Same goes when PS3 and Harry Potter was released.. people actually camp outside the mall for few days! |
