I'm not sticking up for the guy but from what I understand, you can have one beer and fail a blood test. If this is the case I think thats bullsh!+. He did pass on a double line which is illegal and he should be punished for that. I have seen Billy on T.V. many times and it seems he is always drinking so he possibly was drunk but if he failed the test after only one beer then maybe just manslaughter. I don't in any way condone drinking and driving but I have grabbed a beer on the way home from work in my truck after a long day. Sad story either way you look at it.

 

You don't get a BAC of .192 from one beer.

When I got busted back in '00 I had consumed 5 or 6 beers, a couple shots of Cuervo and a couple more pokes off the ol' Night Train bottle - I ONLY blew a 0.115. And I weighed about 180 at the time... not a very big guy. So Billy had to have been wasted... but it's no surprise because (like someone said before) if you had ever watched one of his build-offs he always had a beer in his hand.

Throw his *** in prison and give millions of $$$ to the family of the poor guy he killed. Like I said when this story broke, can you say "WRONGFUL DEATH SUIT"?

 

Yeah sue his ***, take over his shop and make it into a sport bike shop. fire all those people that help him get completely wasted everyday just to look cool on TV, meanwhile giving ALL bikers a bad rep and lowering our respect level in society, as if it wasn't low enough. Man **** this guy I wouldn't be suprised if he gets butt ****ed in jail by other bikers for killing another biker who wasn't in a gang.

I hope I never screw up and end up with you guys as my peers in a trail by jury. Not taking any sides here, but like jjkukla said himself... "When I got busted back in '00, I ONLY blew a 0.115". He made a mistake and got busted instead of killing someone. I hope Billy gets what he deserves, treatment for his alcoholism and punished for the wrongful death.

 

OK...im usually mum when it comes to these high profile celeb cases gone bad.But lets face the facts...he went to 3 different bars and continued to drink before realizing he was too drunk and got his full size truck....and while in his drunken state passed on a dbl yellow and liquidated a human being on a moped...im sorry folks ...kewl biker dude or not....dead is dead..at least Mr Lane can get treatment for his illness.On the other hand the guy on the moped isnt ever coming home...so...i think its time to start treating dui realted deaths like they are...deaths/murders...no bother tho...he has to look at him self in the mirror everyday... i just hope justice prevails...and the moped dudes family celans Lanes bank account....

 

Don't forget that over the summer he got busted for a DUI in the Carolinas and lost his license. He was driving around here (his shop is 5 minutes from my house) without a license.... The day before the accident I saw him a Hooters, two months ago I saw him alone at lunch eating sushi drinking a Sapporo, it is obvious this wasn't an isolated case.

The guy that died was riding an old moped, I am not sure what gang he was in, I think Don Knotts is in the same gang though. But Billy is a little guy, maybe 5'6" 160 lbs, my money would be on a young, angry Don Knotts...that guy was an animal in Mayberry.

RIP moped guy. Billy-Enjoy wearing orange and being a punk to a guy named Bubba. I don't give two sh**s if he is a celeb or not. Also, each person's body absorbs alcohol differently. What the person ate that day, how often they drink, how much they weigh, etc. all play a part. If you get a BAC of .19 off one beer, then you are in the 2nd grade. Hey, maybe the mechanic shop in prison has some nice tools.

 

Who is Don Knotts? Yeah LOL I don't think the moped dude was in a biker gang, how silly of me. Still though the guy got annhialated, so I think he should be sent to a how they say it in office space ' A federal pound me in the *** prison...'.
