Default Bar weights - Look out

Chuckle chuckle, friend just rang me, he had to ride into town today, despite the fact that its been p*ssing down for two weeks (has a GSX1400 Suzuki). Pulled into a servo on the way to fill up, coming out after paying for fuel, met by this women who stops him & asks if he has lost anything.
Looks at her, huh? She then she points over to her car, smashed windscreen, holds up this bar weight, said just missed her. He looks at his bike, sure enough, right one missing. Said he didn't even notice any difference, but she had him by the short & curlies, exchanged details etc, going to cost him though, his excess is $1000, so not worth claiming on his insurance (new windscreen about $400-$600?). At least he got the weight back, bit pitted, hit the road before it hit her car.

I would have said "nope". Then casually took off. Does that make me a bad person?

Talk about bad timing.

$400-$600 sounds pretty pricey for a windsheild. What kind of car is it for? I just got a qoute to have the windsheild replace on my work van for $225.

My mom had to replace the windshield on her van twice in the same week, it was only $150 a pop though, on location too.
