Default bad news/good advice

on june first, i bought my first bike, a 94 f2. on the 2nd of august(a couple of days ago) my best friend wrecked it. nobody knows exactly what happened, because he doesnt remember and there was only one whitnes who while driving came around a corner and saw him airborn. he walked away with a severely broken wrist, and some road/grass rash. the bike, probably totaled. my good advice to all is this. do not let anybody ride your dream machine. that bike was my dream, and although i am very thankful my friend is going to make it, i am very disapointed that my bike did not. if someone asks you to ride your bike, and they dont have an m-class, or a bike of there own... dont let them ride. and if you do, make sure it is in a cotrolled area, like a parking lot. i think a lot of us forget how badly these bikes can hurt us. luckily for him, i made him wear my helmet. he has had probably abou 150 miles of experience, and he wanted to take off without the helmet. 20 minutes after he left we saw a undercover cop fly by his house. all of this happend 100 feet from his driveway. so please, everyone... be careful in who rides your bike. i never thought it would happen to my best friend either. please do yourself and the people you care about a favor, and be very cautious. just thought i could help someone else from making the same mistake i did. also if you are a new rider, take it extemely easy at first, because you never know what some *******(pardon my language) will do.

Great words of advice. Sorry to hear about your friend. Hopefully your insurance will cover the bike, if not is your friend going to pay for the damages?

Sorry bout that dude -- hope your friend fully recovers. I imagine that wrist will hurt for a long time. There are lots more bikes to be bought but friends are rare.
