back protector
 
Just wondering what you guys think is a good back protector. I am asking Santa for some gear and I was looking at the Alpinestars one. It looks good but if anyone knows any others please let me knw

My Textile jacket has one in it. I say just get a good jacket with one in it and be done.

I wear an Icon back guard because it is super thin but strong. Sometimes I wear my jacket with the foam protector still in it and my Icon back guard. It's only like 100$.

Anything is better than nothing, but I'd stay away from ones with metal in them because the friction of sliding may cause them to heat up and burn you.

I have no idea? It a Feildsheer jacket with alot of armor in it. The back protector is foam, but very stiff and firm.

the back protectors are different from the back armor/pads in jackets. They are made to help prevent your back from bending back to far. Armor n pads dont do this and just protect from impacts.

I personally use this under my Alpinestar Stunt 2 textile jacket. Its the AlpineStars Bionic Back Protector.
