Ariel Atom

Alright, what weighs less than 500kg, does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, and is faster around a track than a Porche Carerra GT? You might think it's a big name street bike, but, you'd be wrong. Anyone heard of the Ariel Atom? It's one insane little car that runs on a Honda Civic Type R engine with a supercharger.

They even ran it against a CBR 600RR. And, it left the RR behind by 4 seconds! You've got to watch the video
Ariel Atom

Let me know what you think.

Seen it before, interesting review. But i thought the bloke on the bike was riding like a bit of a tart and why not race a 1000 see what the difference is?

Sorry for the repost then. But, still, even if it does get killed by a liter bike, come on, how many cars are gonna run like that and still be able to drive it home? I still think the thing is friggen sweet. If I had $50K laying around, i'd pick one up

Don’t apologize for the repost, is it a re-post? I didn’t see the Atom on this forum. That is a sweet little car and will give someone that lacks the skills of riding a motorcycle to chance to see what we experience.

I`m not knockin it, I just would like to see the difference with a litre. Hella fun on 4 wheels.

The car is impressive...but it no where near compares to a bike. I think the rider was no rider at all. He didn't hug any of the curves...someone from SBK easily could've got 'em.
