I bought one from ebay, rated for 700lbs. Just got it, it carried my CBR from Maryland to Indiana. No problems, works great. If you get one, I do recommend wrapping one end of a strap around each wheel, over the bottom of the wheel under the carrier, and running it to an anchor point somewhere in the bed. That way the ends dont move around too much for sway. The straps kinda act like shock absorbers/sway bars.

Only issue I have is my 180/55/17 is too wide for it, so I'm gonna add a small piece of wood to the area where the back tire goes, so the tire sits on it, instead of the edges of the carrier.

I got a friend that uses one on a regular basis. I have seen him put Gold Wings on the damn thing and it holds up just fine!

It just looks as though if your bike rocks back and forth on that thing that it would cause enough torsion to snap it off. I'm sure they work great, but they just don't look like they would.

Thanks for the input! I didn't think it looked like it would be too stable either so I just wanted to make sure no one has had any problems with them before I ordered
