Any Gee-Tawr players here?
I went to high school with a guy who joined the marines. Ultimately he ended up almost getting killed by a roadside bomb. I think he lost 2 or 3 fingers on his left hand, his right hand is still intact but the blast folded his hand in half backwards. I think the m16 he was holding pointed upward alongside his body was bent into a 45 degree angle.
anyway, recently I heard from somebody that they got to hear him play and sing a song he wrote for their creative writing class. I try to think about Neil when my life seems difficult. Perseverance, my man.

Here is a little better tune clippage.
One of my many unfinished prohects due to drum loop/drum machine limitations mostly.
Was working on this way back in March of this year.
Probably won;t finish it until March opf next year when I get some new gear.
It's not bad though...for what it is.
I used a Strat...Digitech RP200...and Audigy soundcard.
Bear bobes gear indeed.
Direct download....wma file...1.9 MB size file...compressed.

Love my git-fiddles. Recently got tired of messin with my rack system, so i sold it all and bought a new toy.

Took off the crappy front cloth and replaced it with plexiglass, and a red led light.

Full shot of the head/cab:

I've slowly wittled my guitar collection down to three....
-1977 Takamine F-340 with a Martin Thinline under the bridge
-Yamaha RGX211, Lead switch replaced with a 2-way mute switch, Tremol-no bridge locker
-Dean Vendetta (Gift from my fiance, cheaper guitar, but still fun to play! lol)

My Yamaha had a run in with a blowtorch....

Just sold my Schecter Semi-hollow electric with a piezo acoustic pickup....shoulda held on to that one.
Anyone know an easy way to load an mp3 clip? Got one you guys might like..

Nice gear.
Might try uploading that mp3 in a soundclick account. They are free, but take a day or two to get approved for public play.
I think that to be the case, as I've only used soundclick once or twice.
Good luck, and post us up some smokin' notes if and when you find a place.

Not bad my freind.
Get ya some drums or a drum loop and you'll catch the tempos.
If ya wanna learn some off the wall scales, arpeggios to spice things up...two places for some ideas.
The first one is pretty basic stuff.
http://jguitar.com/
The second one is a site that has every scale known to man.
You'll be concerned mainly with the Western whole tone and half tone, 7-12 tone scales.
There are some far eastern scales here, but unless you got a fretless guitar, you are out of luck...theoretically.
There are no 1/4 tone (quarter tone) notes in western music and without exotic bends, no 1/4's on the fretboard of electric guitars,
as we westerners mostly know them to be.
Have fun with them.

Some more of my stuff...and then I'm done.
The first one has a orchestral string like intro which I did with a midi trigger and Fruity Loops.
Then the usual blaze haze...
From Sepulchre by BMG
The second one is me, laying down some electric based leads, over a backing track.
Lots of diminished scales with some chromatic sliding and structure.
Just Doing It
Anyway, good thread and good playing and gear by my sporting bretheren!

Thanks for the tips man. I actually recorded that in my dorm room a few years ago with nuthin but a boss mic, ran into the mic in on my computer, using cool edit pro, playin with the metronome lol. Not the best recipe for amazing sound!!
As far as the blues pentatonic....yeah, that prolly has somethin to do with me cuttin my chops when i first started playin listenin to whatever old AC/DC album i could find lol. I eventually worked my way into that damn pentatonic box and never took the time to get OUT. It's crazy how fast you can hit a spot and plateau if you dont put in the serious time to get past it. I wish i had more time to play than i do...but don't we all?
It's good to hear from some fellow musicians!!!!
