well.... i've been to a lot of states... pretty much every single state that was involved in that pole (minus vermont, hawaii, and alaska) so i can't comment on those
but i'm callin' BS on the rest of them. most of the "depressed" states i think are actually happier states to live in. i don't know how they quantified the results, but that makes no sense to me.
i guess i could believe hawaii would be one of the happiest places to live and i think alaska would be pretty nice too, but there's no way i believe the other ones and i've been to them.
