Another insurance question
 

Ok, just moved not long ago to Connecticut. I am active duty Military, home of residence is Texas. Can I carry Texas insurance as a provider and not Connecticut? I know allot of folks get on thier parents plan and so on, I don't want to do anything like that, I have my own family, but if I could carry insurance in Texas legally and be 100% covered I'd like that better. A few reasons, it's a little cheaper, but I really don't care about that, just that I had such good experience with state farm over the years and moving up here to CT, everyones rude as hell, including my agent, and CT insurance laws are pretty screwed, they rake you over the coals saying that "when everything comes into the policy you'll get the quote we gave you" Yea right, I'm paying double what they quoted me and they always have some slick response to some BS that I've never heard of when dealing with state farm before. I'd like to walk in there and cancell my policies and tell them to FAck themselves. It just seems BS and shady the way they operate up here.

The AMA web site is a great place to find out state laws.
Sucks we never got to ride together when you were in WA.

Do you still have a residence in Texas? If so you should be able to keep your insurance there. I know rules/laws state if your in their state for 90 days you need to register and insure in their state But all you have to do is tell them your main residence is Texas and your only temporarlily stationed there.

But I would ask State Farm about out of state coverage for a length of time.
