He probably didnt get it on video. I think its funny when you are walking to the House from the driveway and they pull up and flip their lights on. AND THEN, they come up and say "the reason why I pulled you over is" Im like, "you didnt pull me over, One I am out of me car completely, Two You didnt turn your light on until I was halfway to the door and you were pulling into my drive.

Around here if cops are going to give you traffic violations, they have to pull you over in traffic unless they have it all on video tape to prove it. Otherwise it wont stand in court.

So, what was he doing, just sitting there admiring?

I always thought that it didn't matter when/where they caught you, they could give you a ticket as long as they witnessed the act. Seems like there would have to be some statute of limitations though because cops could abuse it and say, "hey, I saw you doin wheelies last week so I'm writing you a ticket." I think I'll have to ask around to see what the laws are around here.

Reminds me of a night I had a couple of weeks ago.
This was in my car, for the record, but it was a similar experience.
I was driving home, bout 1 am. There's a stretch of 60 mph and then I turn off directly into this neighborhood that's currently in development.
At night there's never ANYONE out there, cus the houses aren't even complete.
the whole thing is nice gentle curves with good visibility and would probably have about a 50 mph limit if it weren't going to be a neighborhood eventually.
So I turn into the subdivision and just cruise through, doin about 50-55. Cruise all the way to my house.
I pull up, park outside, and as I'm rummaging through some stuff in my car for the things I want to take in(about 2 minutes of rummaging) a sheriff pulls up right in front of me, stops, and flips on his lights.
He gets out and just asks me how much I've had to drink, how old I am, and tells me to be safe and slow down, since it is technically a 30 mph zone.
Just says goodnight and takes off.
Phew.
