So, i'm seriously considering selling my white 07 and getting one of these.........

It sounds crazy, i know....and i didn't think that i'd ever own anything but a CBR....But i'm kinda at a spot in my life where i don't use it for anything that it's good at lol. I don't stunt anymore, i couldn't tell you the last time i rode "hard" on any curves...I keep tellin myself that i can't wait to get back to the dragon, or go to the track, but i never do. I can't ever get my wife to ride with me because of how uncomfortable the back isany of y'all understand where i'm at? Not to mention it's hard to tell my soldiers that they shouldn't be riding hard without being a hypocrite, since from time to time i still do lol.

To be honest, i think my ideal situation is to own 2 bikes-one like this, and find a rashed RR to use as a track bike when i need to get my kicks out. I really like this class of bike, still pretty manueverable, and all kinds of options for customizing.

So what do you all think? Am i about to be disowned?

Not by me anyhow, the reasoning sounds pretty rational to me. If you would get more enjoyment out of the cruiser, then itsnot a bad decision. Also sounds like it would keep the wife happier, thats always a good thing.

 

nah dude, get this

called a Travertson V-REX, totally a head turner, comfortable, etc. or just get a V-MAX and be pretty dang close to a crotch rocket (200 HP 1700cc engine)

yea these cruisers and sport cruisers are priced stupid...what happened to biking being that? now its a f'ing fashion show....blah

 

No you are not crazy. You are finding a toy that suits your current need. I will do the same though.

No problem doing whatever works best for you Adam .... BUT .... imo even if you don't use the "sport" part of a sportbike constantly, it's difficult going back once you've owned one. I could probably use the ergo of an FJR / VFR or something in more instances than my RR but I gotta tell ya, after riding a few different bikes for a considerable amount of time I always end up missing my RR and the flickability and instant power .. not many other types of bikes match that. If you can do the dual bike ownership that will be best of both worlds. Have you owned any other bikes? Best of luck whatever you decide.

 

I dont know if I could ever own a cruiser, I LOVE knowing I have that much power at my immediate disposal, ESPECIALLY at intersections and turns

 

I've owned 2 CBR's, and prior to that 2 '84 V65 1100's....the V65's were both v-4's with crazy torque, but didn't turn for crap. Still fun to ride though.

I can't make up my mind completely. Part of me thinks it would be a blast to have something different to start customizing....not to mention there's a dragstrip 3 min from my new house...hehehe
