perfect reason to have those rear view mirrors, I would hate to b rear ended on my bike.
Something i do at the light is try and get as close between two lanes without actually stepping on the line, ive seen that the careless drivers that notice theres a bike at the light notice last second, that being said they can swerve to one side (atleast pray that their smart enough to swerve)

Yep, rear-ends are a HUGE problem for us riders.
On my way to work I had a truck and trailer nearly demolish me recently. Fortunately, I always leave just enough room in front of me to escape (which I did, thank god). Heard his brakes lock up and thought...ohhhhh snapples.
Just be cautious, in traffic keep your eyes on your mirrors as well, and always...
