Default All these pictures are from a phone!!

In photography there is a saying,

no photographer is as good as the simplest camera ...




all these pics are from an ancient phone, mostly a Sony K800i although a couple were even from the earlier 2mp predecessor the K750

if you took those, some of those are pretty damn good. Im impressed... I wish my blackberry could take a picture that was anywhere near that clarity

thank you, yes .. it's one of my favourites too, that is actually a misty
morning on the canal right near where I live ... it's a lock by the way, we
call them locks and they allow the narrow boats to travel along the canals
at different levels ... you can stand where I was 200 years ago and see the
same scene, that's what I love about here ... we are in a time warp ...
I have got most of these shots on my big camera too, it's just I often do a
back up with the phone just in case ...

i was wondering if those gates were actually a lock or just a gate, i thought the canal there was a bit small for locks so i wasn't sure

they're small locks ..lol .. actually further up the canal at Hurleston junction there is a set of four stepped locks that are only one gate wide .. I will get some decent shots next time I visit :-)

I would love to go for a trip around your area of UK, everything looks so beautiful in all of your pictures

but these are the only locks i have ever seen so i wasn't too sure
