It all started.....
When I first learned how to ride a bike, and put a playing card connected to the frame hitting the spokes so as you rode it made a sound like a motorcycle.
Am I the only one who did this? |
RE: It all started.....
No, you werent the only one.
Actually, if you didn't do it you probably didn't have a childhood. I'd wager most of the people on this forum at one time or another fantasized thet their banana seat schwin had an engine instead of pedals. |
RE: It all started.....
i put the cards in the spokes and a aluminum can on the rear tire just for a little extra...thought it went faster with the can on there

RE: It all started.....
Great Fun. If you are old enough you might remember these. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MC0dK...eature=related

RE: It all started.....
^that adds 100hp to whatever you put it on!!!
|
RE: It all started.....
You can sign me up as one who did it. I was always changing the cards due them wearing out.
lol....This thread brings up so many bike memories. Remember making ramps out of plywood and bricks? |
RE: It all started.....
I used a can onthe back wheel of myEvel knievel bike. But I do like the Vroom,I wish I had one back then.
|
RE: It all started.....
I am guilty as well. I would constantly smash every can i saw so it would sound like a bike. Or I would ride around going Waghhhhhhhh waghhhhhhhh like i was a bike zooming down the street. Then when going downhills i was tucked like a motogp racer.

RE: It all started.....
you mean you guys still don't do that?!??? I tried the card thing, but that was as cool as the can trick. one thing i really wanted was the bike that looked like a motorcycle... but that came out a few years too late....

RE: It all started.....
I think we all learned about the can trick by accident. I remeber just running over a can and it stuck to the tire and made that awsome sound.
Oh ya I remember getting yelled at for taking dads poker cards for the bike and ruining the deck. |
