After 20 years, the U.S. welcomes a new family.
It is a joyous day for my family, and I simply want to share.
After 20 years of waiting in line, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services have acknowledged my family as permanent residents of America. My mother cried as she opened up my letter and found the Green Card inside. I was born in Seoul, Korea, and moved to the States when I was three. Thanks to the U.S. my father was able to set up his own helicopter manufacturing and design company in the State of Washington and I currently attend the University of Washington for my studies. My family had to constantly take "trips" to Canada and Mexico to renew our limited visas, and I fondly remember getting my fingerprints done and picture taken at the Department of Homeland Security. The process was...to put it nicely, lots of fun.
I took some pictures of the documents; I couldn't help but smile as the brochure read, "Welcome to the United States - A Guide for New Immigrants". After 20 years of residing in the U.S. I do not feel like an immigrant, I feel like an American.

thanks and yeah doing it the wrong way hurts those who legally go about it
but frick I can finally WORK in the U.S. Time to find a job at a motorcycle dealership and sit on bikes all day ^^
