Advice on a bike intercom wanted

I would like to buy a pair of intercoms for me and my pillion , I have no experience of them other than the dreadful ones years ago my riding instructor used ( they hurt my ear). So what a good one to buy from your experiences ! Thanks for the help :-)

My boyfriend and I use sena (I believe ours is smh5 the full face version)
I never had any problems but my boyfriend had an issue with the speaker cable (it broke right clean off) But when he contacted sena they sent him a new unit for free
Other than that it's pretty good, clear sound and very comfortable (the helmet literally feels no different)

I'm considering the Sena 10C. How's the sound and voice quality? I used to wear earplugs, but with the new helmet I may be able to do away with that.

Dunno about the 10C but it should be as good or better than smh5 right? For the smh5 the voice quality is very good, pretty clear, even on the highway. They have some software thing where it amplifies the range of a human's voice and deaden the noise. The only thing w that is when your partner's rpms happen to match a human voice's pitch you will hear the bike as well just for a second, it's kinda funny actually. If you wanna listen to music it's not that great, pretty shrill and flat, but I guess that's expected for such tiny speakers.

Okay. Scratch the idea of getting rid of earplugs. I can't stand wind noise and it's what causes tinnitus.

Will the speakers be heard with earplugs?

I bought the Cardo Scala Q3 Multiset , haven't been out on the bike yet but have set them up in the house :-) seems a good job , I use a couple of different helmets (ones an open face on my bobber) so I ordered a spare mount for that helmet , the pair were £240 and the spare mount was £45 , ill update when I have any info ! thanks
