96, 900rr Need help. Shopping for clutch???
Alright fellas, My clutch went out. Currently, I'm shopping for clutch and feeling a little lost. What clutch do you recommend??? I think I found a pretty descent clutch set, one is, DP and the other is EBC. What do you guys think??? Barnett clutch set is out of my price range!
Do I need to replace clutch plates only? or do I need to replace metal discs as well? What about the springs, should I replace those?
Is this a job I can do myself? I'm pretty handy and have lots of tools. Will I need any special tools???

Fairly easy - get the workshop manual from www.stephygee.com
Not much in the way of special tools needed, except maybe a torque wrench.
Replacing clutch springs and steel plates depends on how much mileage the old ones have done. I still have original steel plates and springs in after 51000 miles on my 1000F.
Remember the order the plates come off, and soak the new fibre plates in clean bike oil over night.
