24 hours with no sleep----updated
and i'm about to go nuts, i have started to polish my sprocket, was way to easy, took 2 min, seeing as it was already polished , just dirty. so i started in on my frame, that really sucked so i stopped, that can wait for another day. i then started on my rims, i have them soaking in that airplane remover stuff now. oh yeah this all can about due to the blow out i had yesterday,so no back tire. well so i have the rims soaking, so i figure why not start in on the swing arm. so now my bike is torn apart, i have been up for 24 hours and really need to sleep. BUT of course i can not it is easter and i have ****e to do, yawn.[:@]

RE: 24 hours with no sleep
Sleep deprivation training was standard as part of our advanced training. When I was an instructor, Iwas up physically moving for periods as long as 105 hours. It is a myth that we actually go somewhere and hit the rack. Just stay focused and keep moving you'll be fine today:) |

RE: 24 hours with no sleep
Hey Fuze - fraternities are awesome contacts man. If you ever plan on making your own money, a fraternity can be invaluble later in life.
Sleep deprivation would suck. I love sleep too much. Not like most people - everyone loves sleep. I really love sleep. Sleep and food. I really love those two things and I don't think I could give them up short of a catastrophe! |
RE: 24 hours with no sleep
I hate sleeping. I understand it is a necessary evil, but I always have to talk myself into bed (unless the wife puts some, uh, "bait", out). 4-6 hours a night, max. I've done 4-5 days before w/out sleep...sometimes I even did it drug free. Those days are far behind me now, though.

It's not just about being up 105 hours, but being coherent and able to carry out assigned tasks and being able to recall details and physically function at some level of effectiveness. This is a personal best, not one set by anyone. I have for some quiet time operated on numerous occasions, at 56 hours with no rest. At peak performance INDoc is 48 hours long for the individuals being evaluated your day starts and ends long after their |

If they cannot handle stress, truly cannot work well with others. All of these things and many more, will come to the surface. For those individuals they will find themselves on their way back to where they came from originally, where they are able to obtain some semblance of the proper amount of rest, because in the real world on the field of battle. No one truly sleeps, but those with the ability to operate at a normal level with little to no rest will always have the upper hand |

Seriously Sam ... don't do this ... it's more damaging than people think and completely pointless it proves nothing ... why do it if you don't have to? ... I'd give anything to sleep right now ... Take care Jules |
RE: 24 hours with no sleep
Damn Saturday night I only got 4 hours of sleep and I was a dead man walking yesterday. The only time I felt awake was when I took the bike of a short ride in 35 degree temps. The longest I'v stay up is about 40 hours and it was not to bad as long asI stayed moving.
