granted, i havent been riding for very long at all. i got my '01 F4i this past april and have since done 15k miles. i was wondering who on here still has their very 1st bike, and how long have you held on to it?


i owe about $3,500 on my loan. i plan on keeping this bike for a lifetime if i can. i was never this attatched to my 1st car, 1st 4wheeler.....just didnt seem as "special". but w/ this 1st bike, i hope to have it for a very long time. maybe one day down the road i'll have a 2028 CBR something or other, and it'll be a nice day out.........i can open the garage and take my 1st bike out for a spin and let the new bike sit for that day.

just dont think i'll ever let this bike go




so who's still got their original 1st bike, and how long have you had it? do you plan on keeping it for as long as possible?

 

I'm riding my first, though I've only had it for a hair over two years now. An '06 Yamha YZF600R

 

I just got my new bike today (08 CBR600RR Graffiti). Ive had it for about 8 hours and I love it!

 

awesome! congrats on finaly getting it! do you have pics on your comp. of it? i've seen a few pics, but no upclose pics of the tail and the tank, i'd like to see upclose pics of those (the graffiti graphics).

how do you like it thus far? take it for a spin yet?

 

Still riding my first. Picked it up January of '06 and am finally almost done cleaning it up. Hoping to pick up a new bike next year sometime; I'm thinking 600rr. Although, I own my current bike and don't think I could ever sell.

 

i still got my 91 yamaha fzr600 at my fathers but havent looked at it in years

 

2006 600RR. First one that I will keep for a long time. I might get an 07 or 08 as a track bike in the next year or so.

 

My F4i is still my first, and still loving it! Bought it brand new 10-17-04 with 3 miles on the clock and had never ridden a day in my life before (I know real smart, right? LOL).... since then logged, uhhh......yea, a few miles, hahah. I don't think I could get rid of my bike. I still want an RC-51, but it'll be as a 2nd bike not a replacement for the F4i. She's been waaaay too good to me[sm=loveeyes.gif]

 

yeah, thats what i was wondering. who would never trade in or replace their 1st? once mine is paid off, its staying w/ me, idk........sounds lame, but its got some sentimental value to me. found something in life that i was absolutely completely freaking addicted to and i dont think i ever want to sell/trade in/get rid of my very......1st........bike

 

Still have my first, had it for 9 months. I saw this beautiful bike sittting in a parking lot for sale for WEEKS and it was getting under my skin. I had to have it. She had 14,xxx miles on her and now has 36,884. I will prob get rid of her after another season though, as much as i love her. I'd like to step down to a brand new 600cc bike, although i don't think it will be a downgrade. The 929 is a beast, the more i learn how to ride it the more i realize just how much overkill this bike is on the streets..
