Anyone in here got a contact for the promotion list by chance? I heard they're going to keep it quiet this year and just post it on VMPF, but surely there's a list already with everyone knowing how many made it and all.

I dont know anyone. I am looking at it this way, if someone comes to me and says congratulations I know I made it. its my first time for Tech so I know I dont have a chance of making it.

 

I missed it by 12.5 last year, but got a commendation and the time in grade time in service should put me pretty close this year. I've been on some other forums, googled tech results, and in some forums guys were talking about their line numbers, but it's a unit by unit type distro. So I doubt they have the whole list. Would be kinda cool to find out early though.

i know im number 6 on the list right now for my 7, the list was to be out yesterday but they havent posted it yet

 

Where are they supposed to be posting it, AFPC? I know the AF Portal says June 26th still, I just thought someone on here might have a contact up in the ranks.

Oh man, I haven't heard talk like this in awhile...memories.

I still work at a reserve facility as a contractor, but they get promoted much differently there.

Hell all this talk is making me homesick remember watching a bunch of guys pacing around like expectant fathers waiting on the answer to this question

 

You made E-7 like, what, two years ago, when you were what, twenty-seven...inside Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance...jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, sneaking up on Navy SEALs underwater, teaching the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program...cheese and rice, now that's ****ing HardCorps.

 

Yeah but I'm still human LOL. You just got to work your *** off and be at the right place at the right time willing to feel the right spot. At that right time is really the bigger key and just stay in the top percentage

Also had a hell of an advantage in the beginning 4 yr JROTC.. 3 previous generations of Marines footsteps to follow in and2 generation still hovering around at that time to make sure I didn't**** things upand the right mindset for the job
