Default Sunday, June 2, 2013ride from n.j, deleware gap to port jervis (long ride)

route - Google Maps

i pass this down from one of my fellow riders. if need anymore info let me know.. i would go but i ride with a race pad...not happening

"around 250 miles maybe 300 miles for me from Staten Island. It was a good 6 hours. Highway to the fun zone and then fun. Expect to be out of rest area at 10:30am sharp and not back to that area til at least 5pm. Drink plenty of fluids to prevent cramps, take some motrin or advil and have a Snickers. You get whiney when youre hungry.

There were some bugs, but we had that on sunday. Once it started getting to be dusk, I saw deer and actually a small black bear in the middle of the road. So we should be out of the park before that time.

[B]Meet @10:00 SHARP @ Garden State Parkway Rest stop just passed exit 140 on the north bound side. Kick Stands Up @ 10:30am Sharp!![/]

As expected riding gear is required. Almost every ride Ive been on datign back to last year (short time) someone has gone down. Everyone on those times the rider had on the right riding gear to save them from serious injury. It also saves the rest of us from having to go to the hospital and then call their emergency contact and tell them bad news.

So a Copy and paste form NYCSBR gear list:

You must wear gear. This also applies for Guests and Passengers.

NO EXCEPTIONS:

Gear Requirements:

1. Certified DOT / Snell Helmet (Duh)
2. Motorcycle CE Riding Jacket (Preferable with CE Back Protector)
3. Motorcycle CE Riding Gloves
4. Motorcycle CE Riding Pants or Knee Pads
5. Boots (over ankles) -NO SNEAKERS-"
