It is very simple we escort the bicyclists from the Benfranklin bridge through back roads totaling 66 miles for the main ride and 100 for the centry loop. It is a fund raising event to help fight cancer. Our duties are to keep the cyclist in some kind of order assist them if needed and control traffic if needed. We basicly make sure they make it from point A to point B safely. It is a working event for us MC as we need to control 4000+ riders. Kinda like herding cats.... This ride is not about us it is about the cyclists raising money for cancer research. We are hoping to find a cure someday and this is our way of helping out.

That sounds like a great ride for a great cause. Long ride though but I'm very interested. Let me see if I can get a rider or two to come out with me and I'll PM you to let you know. I'm up in the Allentown area.

Hey just wanted to bump this thread back to life. The 2012 event is scheduled for July 8th and again I am looking for motorcycles to help out the day of.
We have a new route this year and it runs through Wharton state forest.
Should be a great ride.
If you are interested log onto acsbike.org and check it out .
