Default Yet another new face! Ocala, FL

Hey guys, I am completely new here and new to sportbikes. I have had a Shadow for a long time, but I have ALWAYS wanted a CBR. Now I have a 1995 F3 with 14k miles. It has it's issues. Chinese fairings that don't line up exactly, scuffed up rims (I'm polishing the lips out, to hide the scuffs, you can see in the pictures), and not to mention I am a fatty and it's a hell of a ride! Haha
I don't know anybody else that even owns a motorcycle, yet this is my new daily driver! It's honestly taking me forever to get used too...it is so nimble yet u-turns are a bitch for me! I would be curious to see if there are any other members in the Ocala area...lemme know what you think of the paint scheme on the new fairings

Welcome to the forum Chuck!

Nice looking ride you have there. Make sure to set the suspension up for your weight. The factory seems to think that everyone is 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. If your front springs have never been replaced, they are probably worn out anyway. Just get the right ones and your ride will improve drastically.

Don't worry, u-turns will get easier as you get more and more seat time.

We have many members in FL. Check the regional section, and it would be a good idea to edit your details to reflect your location in your user CP.

Welcome to the CBR Forum Chuck,

Nice F3 and I'm sure you'll have it looking spotless in no time. There may be riders on the forum from your area in Florida so you may have riding buddies yet!

Cheers, SB

Im 6'2 & 220lbs lol. Suspension was set up by previous owner who was nearly exactly my size...I like how it feels, so Im gonna stick with it.
It's not letting my edit anything in details saying I'm not fully activated yet, I'm awaiting moderation....but I can post? That normal?
Also the bike has new springs, battery, stator, voltage reg, tires and aftermarket carbs.

I have a lot of retarded questions... but can't find answers. I've never met another person who rides sport bikes LOL. What are clip ons? What are bar ends? Is there a vocab section?

220? I thought you said you were a fatty. Or were you saying I'm fat? LOL

Sounds like your bike has been set up already, that's good.
You should be able to edit your details while in moderation. I know others have been able to, maybe not though. You will be approved soon, just do it then.

Everyone here rides sportbikes. Some are in FL too. I've met a few people to ride with here so far. Everyone says they want to ride but nobody takes charge and makes the first move to make that happen.

If you have questions, just ask. We are here to help. We don't look down on people for noob questions. We were all there at one time and there are many out there needing those same answers but are afraid to ask. Besides, easy questions are easy to answer.
