Yet another new dude (559)

Hey, folks. I'm new to the forum and riding. I picked up an 01 f4i almost 2 weeks ago. I haven't had a whole bunch of time to devote to learning to ride it because my job has kept me pretty late, and once I get home it's already dark (permit problems). But I've been able to get some pretty decent learning sessions in on the weekends and sometimes during the week. I feel like I'm just getting a handle on the clutch and feeling confident enough to not stall at a stop sign or light. Will be taking my first ride to work on it sometime this week! Also set to take the msf course next week as well, so I'm feeling pretty good.

That being said... In the near future once I'm a little more confident in what I'm doing (taking time to learn everything that I can), I'll definitely be looking to ride with other riders. If anybody is in the 559/Fresno area and would be down to ride, let me know!

Welcome to CBRF! Just take your time learning. You'll get the hang of it. Definitely do the MSF class. Post some pictures of your bike when you get the chance!

Welcome.

Congrats on making the leap over to the 2 wheeled side of life. The msf class is the way to go, as well as taking your time learning. Don't worry about stalling at lights, it will happen less with more time in the saddle.

Ride safe and have fun.

Welcome to the CBR Forum Josh,

As the boys above have said, take your time, learn the capabilities of your bike and most of all how to ride safely. We like our members to stick around for a long time. :D And remember - all the gear all the time - ATGATT.

Cheers, SB
