When does my license plate get here?
 

Hi. I bought a 2007 Honda 1000RR from a dealer. I am waiting for my helmet so I can register for motorcycle class. New rider. The dealer had me sign papers. It was tax, tag, and title. But I am still waiting for my license plate. He put a paper one on the bike. Looks like a temporary. When does the permanent license plate get here? I am not sure I understand the paper work.

It varies from state to state. Some states the dealer can initiate the process, others you have to go to the DMV. The time it takes depends on many things.
On a separate note, you state that your waiting on your helmet. In another thread you mentioned the power the bike has. It kind of reads that you've ridden the bike without a helmet. if that's the case, you might want to rethink that.

Actually, I have not ridden it. Don't know how. I am waiting for the helmet so I can register for basic rider class. I had to return it. It was too large. The dealer said he initiated the process. He stuck a paper license plate on the bike. But it has been weeks and I have not received anything yet.

I had to get a new plate this year and I think it took 7 weeks or so for my state to get it to me.
