I'm curious as well. I've noticed over the years that it's a more prevalent mod in some parts of the US, particularly the south. I saw them all over the place in North Carolina, but I don't think I've seen a single one in Colorado.

Well personally I like extended swing arms... but also when my wife was riding on the back with me, it was a way to keep us on the ground...because i was steady popping small wheelies... I'm not soft on the throttle, but I'm not a big wheelie person anyway ... been riding for 10 plus years and never been.
