Default Tomorrow...CBR 954RR owner !

Hey all,
Picking up a 954RR tomorrow, 12K miles on her. Long time rider ( i.e old guy) and this'll be my first "crotch rocket". Do they even call 'em that anymore? I ride a Harley with the wife, but I like to keep an extra bike or 2 in the garage for 1 up. Have had all kinds, enjoyed them all, some more than others, but there isn't such thing as a "bike that's no fun", no such thing ! Told my wife I'm trying to ride/own them all before I die. I think this 'll be #12 in the last 3 years. Once I find that "special" bike, it'll stay and the search will have ended for the perfect extra bike,,,,,,,,,,,yeah, right !
I've had a broken back, 'bout 33 years ago in a car crash, so I'm not even sure yet if I'll be able to tolerate the riding position of the RR, but I'll know soon enough.
Peace !

Welcome aboard flhticbr! I like your enthusiasm!

Well, it is tomorrow. What time do you pick it up?

I think you'll like the 954. Compared to some of the current bikes, the riding position isn't too aggressive. W/ your experience on dif bikes, you should be able to adapt. Its just a matter of getting used to the bike...& stretching, of course. ;-)

Look forward to some pics!

Picked it up at noon today, 3 1/2 hours away. Trucked it home, wife couldn't take me to get it. He said it was perfect,,,,,,and it is !!! I found someone more **** than me about their bike. Rode up to gas it just now and the power is unreal. Fastest bikes I've owned were a couple of Yamaha FZ1's. 1 was naked the other full faired, both a blast and comfy riding position. But I can already tell, this RR is a monster, even compared to the FZ1's !!! Whew !!!

Cool

Welcome to the darkside. I own a Roadking myself; its a totally different ride, and the cops like to mess with bikes that are faster than their squad cars ever will be. Take it easy, and dont let teenage girls run you over.

Nice choice! Are you going to post any pictures of the bike?

What do you mean by this? They like to race with bikes or try to chase them? lol
