third time is the charm

Greetings to all, I'm not new to riding but this is my first time owning a Honda. this is my 3rd bike that I've owned in the last 10 years. My 1st being the Kawasaki Ninja 650R, the 2nd being the Suzuki GSXR-750. and my latest being the CBR 600F4 model year 2000. right now I'm getting into the charging system which is not currently charging. but dealing with the GSXR I've learned alot about how to go about dealing with the issue. the best part is despite the bike being layed down a few times, this beauty only has 6,250 miles. barely broken in and I look forward to being around for awhile learning and sharing my experiences with you guys. Cheers.

Quick question , has anyone done the R1 rectifier mod to their CBR? I’ve noticed the rectifier on this model year cbr is not mosfet and has no cooling fins. Plus it’s really small, not that the size should be a problem.

welcome to the forum.

thanks for the link, and for the welcome. This is exactly what I did to my past GSXR-750, and the difference was a more stable cooler running charging system. I even have a extra R1 FH rectifier im my garage, so I don’t have to go about purchasing one from eBay right now. Once I probe the 3 wires from the stator and get a good reading across all three, ill go ahead and upgrade the to the FH rectifier. I checked eBay and seen that they have 2 plus for the FH rectifier but I might just remove the spade connectors from the harness as I did on my past bike. As I said owning a gsxr made me become more knowledgeable in this area .
