I just got my motorcycle riding permit yesterday. I am new to the forum and recently bought my first motorcycle, a 2006 CBR600RR with 13,000 miles. I’m 30 years old and not a mechanic, but I’m pretty handy and knowledgeable when it comes to cars.I am looking for some riding advice and helpful tips on gear, local mechanic shops in Massachusetts and online retailers etc. Any help from someone with years of experience would be greatly appreciated! I already did a little bit of research/reading around on this forum and looked at a bunch of reviews on different gear. I tried on some of that gear at a local bike shop and fell in love with the Shoei RF-1200 Helmet and the Alpinestars Atem Jacket and purchased both. I wouldn’t have been able to buy it at such an affordable price if I wasn't recommend ridersdiscount.com. That site is a gold mine. The only issue is trying on the gear elsewhere…I am also looking for recommendations on gloves, a summer jacket, pants and possibly boots. Safety comes with a hefty price tag! Can someone with experience or knowledge please advise? Any stickys/threads or websites for reviews on products would be awesome, thanks!
