Default Soon to be CBR600RR owner in Nebraska

Hey everybody!
Decided I should go ahead and introduce myself. I don't own the bike yet, but I'm currently in the process of buying an 08 CBR600. Found it on Craigslist and it's currently awaiting an inspection at a local dealer to make sure everything is good. Initial non-professional inspection (by me) went well, so I'm having the pros look at it to make sure I didn't miss anything.
I'll post pics as soon as I have the keys in my hand.

I haven't ridden in about six years....sold my old 250 Ninja when I moved from California to Nebraska and haven't been in the position to buy another since then. I'll be taking it easy for awhile to get back into things, but I'll be looking for some other Omaha people to ride with as soon as the weather clears up!

Welcome to the forum.

Hopefully the inspection goes well.
How is the riding in Nebraska, compared to Cali?

The roads in Cali are MUCH nicer...the weather is more consistent as well. I was able to get a good 8-9 months of solid riding where I was in Cali. Here, I might get 5-6?? Subtract the things like random thunderstorms and 3 inches of ice on May 1st and you have a lot more to worry about before a morning commute.

Here's a quick pic I took off the Craigslist ad.

Update: inspection went great! Bike is in great condition. New gear purchased (I spoil myself sometimes). Getting the bike tomorrow!

Welcome to the CBR Forum Rokk

Congratulations on the new bike - it looks great.
Buy the best safety gear you can and always wear it.

Cheers, SB

Small problem yesterday caused the change of possession to be put off til later today. Stoked to be getting the bike finally but the weather hasn't been too kind to us lately...needing sun soon!
