Default Should I get a bike now?

Hey, my MSF class doesn't start until 12/8. Does anyone think I should go out and buy a bike now to get familiar with it, or should I just wait until after the class to go look for one. Also, thanks to everyone who replied in my other topic.

I would say wait till you take the MSF class. The class will help you get familiar with the bike and how to ride. Plus if you learn on your own, you might have bad habits going into the class. If you have no experience, you are a clean slate and can be tought the right way the first time.

I wouldn't even show my girlfriend how to ride my bike till she took and passed the MSF. Good luck to you.

It's really 50/50 either way. But safety says wait until you take the course...also NeonspeeedRT did as well.

Welcome I would say it doesn't matter one way or the other.

I took the class first. I guess which order is better is a personal choice. For me, I believe I could have understood and processed some parts of the class better, if I had had even a little experience on a bike beforehand. Most of it began to click pretty quickly, but I have always wondered if I had done things in reverse, how it could/would have been. Good luck!
