Default saying hello to all! n00b

wassup everybody. New to bikes and the boards. I got a 93 900rr. I have been warned about how big the bike is, but I am gonna try to take it as slow as possible i think im am gonna take the bike class before i hit the open road. i think i love my bike already and i havent drove it yet.lol. got a question the lady tells me that she took it to a dealer and they told her that she needs to get the carbs cleaned and synched. I am pretty good with a tool set (400hp crx) is this some thing i can do on my own or do i need to take it to a dealer to get it done.

IMHO, it's pretty easy to clean/sync your carbs. Since you seem mechanically inclined, you may WANT to do it just to get familiar with your bike. Have fun and be safe.
