Gas gauge came on and immediately ran out of gas.

I have not. If anything, mine comes on very early. Given the variance of mpg and gas gauge sensitivity, or lack thereof, I think most of us just keep track of the mileage.

Hope you weren't too far away from some more Go Juice, though! Pushing that girl down the street would not be fun...

 

Ooopps sorry to hear that, not something that I have experienced either. I normally have about 20-30 miles once the reserve comes on. Once it starts flashing I really need to fill up.
