Talking Recently joined the CBR World!

Hey guys,

I just recently bought a cbr 600 rr (2004); it's one of my first bikes. I had an r1 a few months back but there was an issue with it and I had to get rid of it. I';m still quite new the biking in general and so i'm here to learn and share my experiences.

I'm going about things a little backwards however, I bought my bike already but now I need to buy some gear for myself.
I live in Ontario (Greater Toronto Area) in case anyone else lives around me we can meet up some time!

Nice to meet you all!

Howdy hey! Definitely gear up before grabbing that throttle. Plenty of places online to get great gear at good prices.

Give us a looksie of your bike. How does she run?

Default feel welcome:)

Thanks for the welcoming

I'll sure post up some photos as soon as I transport my bike to my home. I didn't have a chance to take some photos/video of the bike as yet.

It's a 2004 CBR 600 RR; everything is stock except flush mounted signals and fender eliminator kit. It currently has about 30 000KMs on it.

Thumbs up Some videos.

Here are some videos i've taken ever since I got my bike delivered.

I know i'm not wearing any gear in my videos when i'm riding but I haven't saved up enough to buy gear and i'm just going up and down my parking lot cause it's hard to have the bike parked in my garage and just look at it hehehe

I love the bike so far! I'm still learning to shift gears and all.
I don't know how I see people switch gears so quickly...I've been told I have to close the throttle completely, pull the clutch, switch gear, 'slowly' release the clutch and then open the throttle again.

I know that if I release the clutch too quickly when going from neutral to first gear that the bike will stall, is the same true if I am going from 1st to 2nd gear? That would be scary!

I have also seen some riders switch gears without even using the clutch, can someone explain that? (seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45r1u1v0rcI )

THanks!

yeah you dont need to use the clutch to upshift but you should for downshifting.
