Default rebuilding my old CBR1000F (1996)

Hi everyone, I have been a little bit slow getting things off the ground so here is a little bit of an insight as to what I am planning. I have been looking at the colours scheme, and I don't mind it at all. I just wonder how it would look with a few changes and use candy colours instead of pigment colours, and a few other items along the way. This is what my poor old girl looks like on the day I picked her up, a little grubby and run down, but I think she should scrub up alright.

The rims were pretty sad looking and so I stripped them down and will get them powder coated, this time I think I will go with white, not a big fan of black wheels myself.

I think the swingarm will also get a shot of powder coating.

Looks a bit grubby, that will need to be cleaned up.

Now all I need to do is get this sucker out.

Now that is out, I reckon a coat of silver with the powder coating will do nicely.

While I am at the powder coaters I think I will get the front end done as well, get those fork lowers and bridge and handlebars done while I am there.

Fork lowers off, new bushings and seals to go on there when it all goes back together.

fork bridge and handlebars off, this will all be done in gold this time around.

Will be fitting new headstem bearings there while I have it all pulled down this far, probably kick myself if I didn't.

Time now to remove those poor old stickers that have become scratched and damaged over the years.

looks a bit different now.

Some of the stickers hung on pretty good.

Getting ready to get some primer onto all that plastic, hehehe don't want it getting rusty with no paint.

Way to go, that is really giving the old girl a new lease on life! What no chrome
Looks like you have a very nicely kitted out garage set up there as well!
