Qute on 600 RR
Hi all,
Thank you for your responses to my earlier question regarding choosing between RR vs F4i. I have decided to go with RR after being to couple of dealerships in Houston area. However the numbers they are running seem too high. I have got quotes from $10000 to $9970 OTD. What do you think about the numbers and do you know any dealership in Houston with better price?
Thanks,
maakif

RE: Qute on 600 RR
WHOA! way too high. i know that you are probably trigger happy and wanting a bike right now, but MUCH better deals are out there. the msrp on the 06 600rr is $8999. looks to me like they are trying to charge you msrp, tax, and about $500 in fees. thats a horrible deal. and don't let them talk you into it saying things like, "its brand new and everyone wants one. this is the price they are and this is what we sell them for." ive seen this crap alot.
in all honesty, you should be able to get a bike out the door for the original msrp. tell them that its an $8999 bike and thats all you are willing to pay. thats with tax, document, and set-up/freight fees. and if they're not willing to do it, go somewhere else. you may have to shop around for a few weeks but you will be able to save about a grand or so. to me, saving that amount of money is worth the wait.
and i have no idea of dealers in houston. hope this helps

RE: Qute on 600 RR
another option would be to call around to any and all honda dealers within driving distance and ask them if they have any holdover 2005 models. they're still new and you can save a bunch of money over a 2006. that's what i would do, but i'm a cheap *** and look for any way to save money! good luck

Heimlich maneuver... help... I'm chocking on this one...
No, seriously... I found a lot of RR's in my area for 10,000+. All at the cycle worlds and so on. But they had chrome rims and swings arms and so on. I had to find a Honda of "insert city here" to get a good price. 9300 OTD with 4 year warranty.

Actually, I did inquire on the 2005 and they are charging the same as 06s. I 've been to three dealerships already and more or less they are not coming down on the price. I think because to X-mas they are hoping to cashing in but I am not desperate. I waited years I can wait couple of weeks or more.
Thanks for you tip.

RE: Qute on 600 RR
Just sit down with the salesman and take out your checkbook. Tell him you want the 600rr and you are going to write him a check for $9000. Give him the check and see what he does. If he tells you the bike is yours you paid one dollar over invoice. If he doesn't sell you that bike take back the check and start to leave. You will have him the sales manager begging you not to leave. Just show him the check and tell him this is what I am going to pay for this bike. if you don't want sell me the bike I will find someone who will.
