question

how difficult is it to put on your own exhaust (slip)? or how much does it typically cost for a shop/dealership to do it? thanks in advance

RE: question

It depends on the bike...If it is a 600RR/1000RR it is more difficult than a standard bike ( F4i/954/929,ect) The underseat exhaust require the removal of the rear plastic to gain access and it just a time consuming affair, but a F4 or something like that would require very little work or time

RE: question

i have a f4i, so you say that it isnt that bad. is it wrenching basically, or is welding required? Id like to upgrade my exhaust, but i have limited funds, so if i could install it myself, i could upgrade sooner. Thanks for answering the question.

RE: question

Limpz is right (as always...) I just put on a slip-on on my 04 rr (which I got from Limpz) and it was pretty easy. Check out my post under da Apex forum here and you can see my lil blurb.

RE: question

Slip-on on an F4i -- eezy!!!! With only basic wrenching skills it'll take you 2 hours max to do a professional job. The bottom line with most mods is take your time. When you get in a hurry you forget to tighten something or screw up and scratch the plastics, etc.
