Hey guys! Just wanted to stop in and say hello and introduce myself! I just picked up a 2006 CBR600RR and I have already fallen in love. Looking to gain a ton of knowledge from the site!

Welcome to the forum!
Nice looking bike you got. Orange is a high visibility color, but people still wont see you. So watch out... First bike?

This is my first street bike. I have had dirt bikes (crf 450r, CR's, etc) my whole entire life. My biggest reason for getting this color was the visibility factor.

Every time I get on her it still surprises me how it ****s and gets so well!! I don't know how some of you guys can ride the 1000's!

Your 600RR def has more power than you'll ever need for the street. Your history w/ riding dirt will help but there are many techniques on sport bikes that will be new to you. Your reaction time will need to be fast, as I'm sure you've already discovered. ;-) Also, stay off that rear brake, unlike the dirt bikes. ;-) You'll find that most of your braking is up front on the sport bike.

Good to have you w/ us. Be safe out there.

Welcome to CBRF!
