posting pics

I seem to be having a hard time posting pictures. I posted a picture as a jpeg attachment; but it was so small (resized image in photoshop to conform to attachment guidelines) that it is practically unviewable. Should I be using a different format? Is there a way to post pictures and not have them be attachments? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Whenever I post a pic I just upload the full size to Photobucket and then copy the IMG code in the box below the pic into a message. Photobucket will automatically downsize your pic so you generally don't have to worry about a huge billboard size photo in a message. Hosting pics there is free.

If you don't already have a Photobucket account and you start using it try to create different folders for your pics such as Motorcycle, Car, Miscellaneous, etc. Don't just upload everything to your home page. You'll be glad you kept them sorted by theme once you get several hundred pics uploaded.

Photobucket?! Why didn't I think of that. Great idea. I'll be making an account today. Thanks
