Default Picking up my CBR600 tomorrow...new to the forum.

Hello!

Names, Tim. Short backround story, I'm a 25 year old Navy Vet, served from 07-11. Married now with 2 kids, and have always been into modding cars, and recently got into bikes, thanks to my brother. My first bike(which I just sold), was a 1995 Yamaha FZR600R. Just sold that, and I'm picking up a 2006 CBR600 F4i tomorrow. I cannot wait to get it...definitely looking forward to learning more from these forums, as I only had the FZR for about a month and all I learned was that the seller I got it from didn't tell me it had a crack in the engine case. So, I wanted a newer bike that would be more reliable.

Here's a pic from the sellers ad.

Welcome to the forum Tim.

New bikes are always exciting. Make sure you take a close look at that one. It appears to have some work done to it. I don't think that's a original color scheme and the black wings are a bit off. It may be ok, but I'd hate to see you get into another situation like your other bike.

Welcome aboard thegood ship Seabarf

Demon is right. Those aren't the original colors. And I'll bet not the original fairings too. Ask the bike historye. See if the seller comes clean about what happened. If he doesn't hit him with why the repaint and start bargaining down

As was said.. That bike isn't original.. It might just be cosmetic, but I can see th rear subframe has been repaintd black as have the passenger pegs.. Ill bet its paint and not powder coat.. And it still has the banana seat so it's the original 06 subframe... Check it out good..

Welcome.
